Copyright Statement

I, an author, artist, and web site creator, take copyright laws seriously.

Any copyright infringement by users at this forum will not be tolerated. Illegal use of copyrighted material will lead to it being deleted from a thread and a warning issued to the user. Repeated copyright infringement will lead to a banning of that user.

The main formatting, graphics, and technology of the forums created under Probards are copyright protected by Proboards and any technology company that provides services to Proboards.

With or without a copyright label (as I use on all my posts), all text provided by users within The Sojourner are copyright protected by the user who has written the post.

While the text of individual posts are copyright protected by the user, there are exceptions to this rule. If the entire post is a quote from another source, that information is owned by the person who originally wrote it. The same applies to partial quotes inserted into the larger post. If you, as the person posting information, uses any quotes from people, books, or other sources, the source should be noted either within or below the post.

Photos, clipart, and other graphics may or may not be copyright protected by the person who posts them. If the image was fully created by the user, they own the image. If the image is from a book, newspaper, or online source that image may be copyright protected by the person who created it. As with text, a note should be made about a graphic that is copyright protected by someone else and a statement regarding you being granted permission to use it.

Some text and graphics appear on hundreds of websites. This does not mean they are being used legally. It is up to each person posting at this forum to discover which are available for use without permission because they are part of the public domain.
